"I wanted a fast way to view and export XML comments from .NET source code. When I started developing this software NDoc was still a thing and SHFB was difficult to use and slow. The application is made from a desktop client in WPF which provides a live view of the code and XML comments in a library, solution or project. Allowing you to search thorugh and browse your projects. An API which allows you to return rich XML for a member at run time, to allow a rich documentation site or application to be developed. A CLI tool which exports documentation to various formats that can sit in side existing tooling. The application started as PeCoff file reader, using the ECMA-335 to work out the structure of the file format. Enabling a bespoke reflection of the library enabled the application to be quicker than applications using the reflection libraries with the .NET framework. I am proud of the work and commitment I have shown to write this application, which has been in development (on and off) for many years. I am looking at ways of making it cross platform, especially now that .NET Core is cross platform."

A little bit about this site

Hello, I'm Corstiaan. I'm a software developer from the Netherlands and I manage BuiltWithDot.Net. I created this site as a place where developers working with .net technology can showcase their projects and inspire other developers.

There's so much you can build with .net these days that I thought it would be nice to have a corner of the web dedicated to the breadth of .net. Enjoy!

What is the .net community working on?
