"Computers have multiple caching layers from the L1/L2/L3 CPU caches, RAM, and even disk caches. Each of these caches serves a purpose and each one has a different performance profile. Why don't we do this for our applications? CacheTower helps you manage multiple cache layers including support for auto-eviction and background refreshing. Maybe you want your in-memory cache to fall back to your Redis cache. Maybe you want caching to file to fall back to a database cache. You control your stack for your environment. In developing this, it was our first experience with Redis and first experience with Protobuf. Combining that with the performance tuning of our memory cache solution, this was a great learning experience. The future of CacheTower is establishing additional popular layers for other technologies (eg. SQL) that can easily be added to a cache stack."

Hello, I'm Corstiaan. I'm a software developer from the Netherlands and I manage BuiltWithDot.Net. I created this site as a place where developers working with .net technology can showcase their projects and inspire other developers.
There's so much you can build with .net these days that I thought it would be nice to have a corner of the web dedicated to the breadth of .net. Enjoy!
